The first time I wore them I walked quite a bit and ended up with a blister on my toe from the big buckle, but since then I have had no issues and I receive compliments pretty much every time I wear them. I can pair them with black linen pants or a dress and look appropriate for a nicer restaurant while still being comfortable."

Top strap and large buckles are uncomfortable
"I love Birkenstocks and this is the first pair that I would not recommend. They are really pretty and really uncomfortable. The top strap and the large buckles rub on my toes. I have adjusted the straps to try to make them more comfortable with no success. I tried wearing with socks at home and even then my toes were sore. The footbed is smooth and I did not find it to be comfortable. I normally live in my Birkenstock sandals all summer as they are usually comfortable. This pair is a miss."

"I have been obsessing over these shoes. I love the elevated patent black with the gold hardware. I was hoping the comfort would be a bonus. Highly disappointed in the comfort for a Birkenstock. The patent leather feels more plastic on the inside of the shoe and the top strap cuts into my foot. These will be going back."
